Cider, a traditional natural drink made from pure apple juice, is now being seen in a new light.

This Norman bocage, with its ancient mixed hedgerows full of animal life and raised roadside banks of wildflowers, has long been appreciated for its natural beauty as the many manor houses dotting the countryside attest.  The granite soils and the perfect climate have been famous for producing wonderful ciders for centuries.

At the end of a long summer's ripening, we harvest each of 10 different cider apple varieties separately.  The fruit is pressed to produce the juice, which slowly matures over the cool winter to create specific qualities of golden colour, effervescence, perfume, tartness or sweetness.

The selection and blending or 'assemblage' of the different juices is the secret to producing the very best cider.

It's All Been Worth It

Over 7000 trees later - each one hand planted and reared with care and expertise - we are now ready to sell our unique blends of L'Aunay Cidre.

The hard work has been worth it.
